After picking you up from the airport, you will check into the hotel where you will have some time to relax or start a first city investigation. At the end of the day you can look forward to a typical meal in a simple restaurant in Lima.

2. Reisetag: Flug nach Cusco
Impressive flight above mountain forests and massive mountain groups. After arriving in Cusco we will have some time left to get to know the city center. In the early afternoon we will begin our city-tour. Get to know the Plaza de Armas the sun-temple and also the ruins of Sacsayhuman, Kenko and Tambomachay, the bath of the Inca. At night you hurl into the vibrant nightlife. Cusco is known as the only city that has a 24hours nightlife, around the main square you will find numerous clubs and bars

3. Day: Holy valley and ride to Machu Pichu
Today we will visit the secret valley. On the way the vehicle stops at several beautiful viewpoints, where you can take some marvelous pictures of the region. Later on we will visit the ruins of Pisac. Our guide will explains us the history of these impressive constructions as well explaining us the temple with its sunclock. We walk down to the village of Pisac for more or less 1,5 hours, to visit the colorful market that offers the greatest diversity of souvenirs of South Peru. Later on we will drive down the holy valley to visit the old Inca fort of Ollantaytambo. Before taking the train to Agua calientes at 19.45 o' clock we will have enough time to observe the ancient ruins and have dinner in a nice restaurant.

4. Reisetag: Machu Pichu
Today we will finally visit Machu Pichu, one of the highlights of our entire trip. As our accommodation is located in the jungle we can directly walk to Machu Pichu in the morning. This allows us to reach the ruins before the tourism hype. Besides we can enjoy the walk to Machu Pichu at the most beautiful time of the day. With the rising day we can absorb/breath in the unique mystical atmosphere that this site carries within. After crossing a shaky rope bridge to cross the Rio Apurimac, an ancient Inca trail leads us directly into the mountain jungle. On steep, stony stairs we will climb upwards, listening to the sounds of the jungle only. Now we will cimb up the Inca trail, recapturing the hidden city in the jungle in a very special way. After one and a half ours we arrive at the entrance where we can delight in the very special atmosphere of the day that is still young. Further on we will visit Machu Pichu, passing ancient Inca trails, off the beaten track. In the afternoon we will visit the construction intensively as at this time of the day, there are not as many tourists. When ever we feel like it we can return to Agua Calientes where we will have dinner before eventually returning to the Hotel.

5. Day: Cusco
At 9 o' clock our train leaves for Ollanta. Right after, we will return to Cusco. Meanwhile you can enjoy the one or the other snack, there is no lack of possibilities. In Cusco you can either spend sometime relaxing and recovering, or exploring the city a bit further. IN any case, we will head for the city center for having dinner.

6. Day: Ride to Puno with a Panoramic Bus
The next day we will head off to Puno by bus. This takes more or less 6 hours and leads us through snow-covered volcanoes, green land and several lagoons through one of the most astonishing landscapes that Peru has to offer. In the meantime we will take rest at a small village market where we can taste indigenous food. Afterwards we will arrive in Puno, surrounded by a beautiful blue lake and snow covered mountains, this city counts more than 100.000 inhabitants. After a glimpse at the beautiful harbor region, we will have dinner in one of the numerous local restaurants.

7. Reisetag: Inseltrekking Taquille und Amantani
Today we will do a unique boat trip over the endless wide and deep blue lake of Titicaca. We will float to the other side of the island Taquille to visit one of the 7 aborigine- communities that live there. It is one of the un-touristy communities and the aborigines will show us some interest facts concerning their traditions and culture. Later on we will walk straight through the island to take another boat at the harbor to return to the other side. While floating to the island Amanti we will enjoy our lunch package. The islands don't lie in a great distance to each other, so only one hour later we will already climb up the 4200meter high mountain, Pachamama. There is a interesting tradition, that once a year there is a race starring from both mountains. In case the person from the Pachamama wins, this is like a guarantee for a good and lucky following year. In the contrary case that the person from the Pachapata mountain wins, its obviously the other way round . We climb down the other side of the island towards the village Amanti, where we will stay overnight with a farmer's family.

8. Day: Sillustani
Today we will head off to visit several Uru-islands. The people of Uru became extinct since 1958, nevertheless their descendents try to maintain at least a part of their ancestor's indigenous culture.

In the afternoon we will visit another interesting site near Puno, namely the ruins of Sillustani. The steep ascending grave towers are located in a wide Greenland, some beautiful lagoons here and there.

9. Day: Bus drive to Colca
Firstly we will take the bus to the small mountain village Pampa Canahuas, from there on we take another private transport further on to Pinchollo, our starting point for tomorrow's trip.

10. Day: Pit Madrigal
In the morning we will head off to the Rio Colca, in a 1,5 hour distance by foot. Passing this river hasn't been easy in the past. Sliding on the slippery stones, people where taking a bath in the 12-14 degree cold water. In 2005 the mayor couldn't bare this situation any longer and decided to build a rope bridge. So luckily, today it is rather easy to cross the river. We walk through terraces, that once where build by an Indian tribe called Collaguas. After taking a short rest we will carry on walking for another 3 hours until we arrive at the shut down pit Madrigal where will build up our first camp within a small eucalyptus forest. The adventurers can make an expedition into the pit camp and observe how comfortable the families used to live here in comparison to the other population. After having dinner we will go to bed early as tomorrow a hard day is waiting for us.

11. Day: Mine of Madigal Bomboya Mountain - Puya Raimondi - Laquipaya Schlucht
At 6 o' clock in the morning we head off to start our climb up 1300m high. The rising sun offers beautiful motives for taking unique pictures of the colca valley. We will pass by ruins and small canyons with quenua trees, right up to the mountain of Bomboya. After a 4 hours walk we will reach the Puya Raimondi plants in the canyon of Llaquipaya. This plant is really rare and prospers only once in 70-100 years. It develops about 8000 blossoms. Imagine how hard it is for this plant to reproduce itself!

To drudge the wind has to blow the polls to another plant, that probably prospers in some other plays in the Andes of Bolivia. . We have counted about 550 plants at this unique site. After having enjoyed this nature miracle sufficiently, another2,5 hours walk is waiting for us, until we will finally reach our camp, called Tres Ojitos. Next to the canyon this is located at a height of 4600 meter and we will move forward steadily. In these highlands it is rather hard to find some water. In the camp of Tres Ojitos, water spreads out of a single point and offers beautiful green lands. For this reason the conditions of the camp are a bit cramped and the tents are located on ancient stony areas, build once upon a time by human kind. Hungry and tired after the long walk we can now look forward to having dinner.

12. Day: Laquipaya Canyon - Colca Canyon – Inkatrail to Tocallo
Today we have a long way to go, beginning with a walk through the Pampa into a height of 4900m, so we have to get up early. Here we will see Llamas and Alpacas, that live all year long in this extreme climate. After 4 hours we will reach the pass, at the bottom of the mountain Nevado Sepregina and Sillane. Counting a height of 5010m, this is the highest point of our tour. In front of us appears the stunning colca canyon. From now on, our animals have to cope with the hardest bit of the tour. On tightest trails the animal-leaders have to show them the way. In the case of snow, we also have to take rope to pass this trail. After several inclines and declines, taking us more or less 2,5 hours we will finally reach the entrance to the old Inca trails of Tocallo. This is one of the most far-off villages in the Colca canyon, inhabiting about 50 families. The people here are still living very traditional and live from the assets the nature has to offer, Maybe we will make it early enough to the end of school, so that we could take part in a lesson of the most far-off schools in the region. We are back on 3800 m and we should have enough air to participate at the daily football match of the village.

13. Day: Tocallo - Huaruru Canyon – Descending the Canyon - Cosnihua - Oasis Sangalle
Today we will leave at 8 o'clock in the morning to walk high above the Rio Huaruru toward s the Colca Canyon. After 3 hours we will reach the descending-point, from where we will be able to see the deepest point of the Colca Canyon. From here on we will head for a 3 hours walk downwards until reaching the village Coshniua, finally being able again to use a satellite telephone as well as buying some snacks in a small shop. Now there are another 1,5 hours of walk waiting for us until we reach the marvelous Oasis of Sangalle.

We cross the Rio Colca on a rope bridge and will reach our camp in a almost tropical climate. Our camp offers us a good comfort including a swimming pool, a bar, and a toilet. After spending a nice evening and enjoying the warm pool, we will go to sleep.

14. Day: Oasis Sangalle – Climbin up the Colca Canyon - Cabanaconde
Until midday we will spend our time enjoying the beautiful oasis, probably including a short visit to the Rio Colca. After having lunch we will conquer the 1.200m upwards, in order to reach the canyon. After tiring 3 hours of walk there are only 40 minutes left to the village Cabanaconde (approx .3000 inhabitants), today's destination. Here we will say goodbye to our trekking team, that has to ride back another 4 hours to the village of Pinchollo. We will spend some more time on the colorful marketplace of Cabanaconde. Finally we will conclude this day with a nice dinner at a restaurant.

15. Day: Basecamp Chachani
For today we have planned to drive up to our base camp on Chachani. With the jeep we will be able to reach a height of 4900 meter, from here on we will climb up further, 300 meters up a steep track, finally reaching our camp at a height of 5.300 meter. Here we pitch our tents, and go to sleep. So today the endeavor should be too hard, so that we can include also the Trek on today' journey.

16. Day: Summit Chachani
On the next morning we will head upwards on a steep stony part, until we reach the ice plateau. Now we turn right to cross a moderately steep ice hill side. Despite of the height loss we can still enjoy a wonderful view over Arequipa at night. On the left hand sight follows a hill side, this time without ice but covered by slippery volcano sand. Up streaming traces lead us to the scenic summit. The ascension will take us 6-8 hours, the descend 2 hours less. Afterwards we will take a rover-vehicle back to Arequipa where you can have a good night rest.

17. Day: Day-off
Today we will have some time to observe the white city in some more detail. For visiting one of the most beautiful cities of Peru, we can either take part at a guided tour or checking it out individually. At night we will conclude this day with a farewell dinner.

18. Reisetag: Rückflug
Definitely the saddest day, as today you will have to return home. Of course our guide will be glad to accompany you to the airport. Before heading back home we will skim through Peru mentally. Interesting keen insights of the Andean and Amazonian regions let us recall the most exceptional memories of our journey and create a lot of space for more ideas and itinerary. We hope that you enjoyed your special South-American experience and that it won't be your last one!
